Alabama lands another standout wide receiver out of South Florida

Consensus 4-star player Thaiu Jones-Bell out of Miami Carol City commits to Crimsoned Tide

The stream of talented wide receivers from South Florida to Alabama continued on Monday when Thaiu Jones-Bell committed to the Crimson Tide.

Jones-Bell, out of Hallandale (Fla.) Miami Carol City, is a consensus 4-star talent who was heavily recruited by the Florida schools, especially Miami.

He's rated the No. 105 player in the nation by the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Listed at 5 foot 11, 187 pounds, Jones-Bell is the 17th player and fourth wide receiver to commit to the Class of 2020, joining Javon Baker, Dazalin Worsham and Traeshon Holden.

The position has been a recruiting priority. Although Alabama doesn't have a senior wide receiver on the roster, starters Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III and DeVonta Smith could all be candidates to leave early for the NFL.

The Crimson Tide has had tremendous success with wide receivers out of South Florida including Amari Cooper and Calvin Ridley.
