Another Sunseri joins Crimson Tide staff, Tino

Former Pitt quarterback will be joining brother Vinnie and father Sal with Crimson Tide staff

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — It's raining Sunseris in Tuscaloosa.

Tino Sunseri is joining the University of Alabama support staff for football, although his specific role has yet to be announced.

The former Pitt quarterback is joining his father Sal, who is returning to Nick Saban's coaching staff, and brother Vinnie, with the Crimson Tide.

This is the first time the three of them will be together in a working capacity.

Sal Sunseri was Nick Saban's assistant head coach and linebackers coach form 2009-11. In 2011 he was a finalist for the Broyles Award for best assistant coach. He'll likely coach the Crimson Tide's outside linebackers again.

Vinnie Sunseri was a starting safety for the Crimson Tide and left a year early to enter the 2014 NFL Draft. The fifth-round pick by the New Orleans Saints has signed on to be a graduate assistant.

Tino Sunseri was a three-year start for the Panthers (2010-12). After two seasons on the staff at Florida State he was a quality control assistant at Tennessee last year.

AL.com's Matt Zenitz was first to report that Tino Sunseri was expected to join the Crimson Tide, which was quickly confirmed by the new addition himself on special media.
