KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Alabama football team is used to drawing a crowd when it arrives at the stadium on the road, but it was a little different Saturday.
Butch Jones, the former Tennessee coach, was among those coming in on the visitor's side, while making his return to Neyland Stadium for the first time. He was surrounded by Crimson Tide players, with linebacker Christian Miller putting his arm around him at one point.
The crowd was thick, with some cheering and many booing, but nothing like the one that showed up when Lane Kiffin made his first return trip in 2014.
Like usual, Nick Saban was the first off the bus.
The first player off the bus was junior defensive end Raekwon Davis, who may not be starting due to an incident during the second half of the Missouri game last week.
