Former Arizona Wildcat safety/linebacker Marquis Flowers, who was a four-star recruit during the Mike Stoops era, will have his jersey retired by Millenium High School in Goodyear on Friday night.

Flowers, a fifth-year NFL player, is in his first season with the Detroit Lions after being cut by the New England Patriots at the end of training camp. He made 32 tackles, including 3.5 for loss, in his only season with the Patriots, getting to play in the Super Bowl.

Flowers, who has been a valuable special teams player through his NFL career, has two tackles in five games with the Lions. Detroit has a bye this week.
