Kerryon Johnson Destroys Jeff Heath for First Touchdown

Kerryon Johnson scores his first touchdown of for the Detroit Lions by trucking Jeff Heath of the Dallas Cowboys

Auburn Tiger fans got used to seeing Kerryon Johnson run with vision, patience, balance, and....power.

Jeff Heath of the Dallas Cowboys was in the way of Johnson scoring his first touchdown as a pro, and Johnson lowered the boom.

Johnson was helped off the field, and in a statement on Monday, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Heath should be fine. We're glad his body will recover, but his pride may take a bit longer.

Johnson has been impressive for the Lions. The second round pick from Auburn has 216 yards and a touchdown in his first four games, and he's averaging 5.7 yards per carry. He's also added 11 catches on 13 targets, so it won't be surprising to see Johnson get more work as the season progresses.

Kerryon Johnson finished his Auburn career tied for fourth with Tre Mason in career rushing touchdowns with 32, only behind Joe Cribbs (34), Bo Jackson (43) and Carnell Williams (45).

No. 1-1

Watching Kerryon, I don't know that I've seen too many backs in college that would hesitate behind the line of scrimmage and STILL be so successful. His vision is tremendous. He has terrific patience, a quick burst, and balance/power to blow through arm tackles (and safeties).
