Cal senior point guard Paris Austin says the Bears' six returning players will be motivated by a chip on their shoulder to show what they can do.
But on a team with five incoming freshmen, Austin also recognizes he must devote some of his energies to being a leader on a team determined to improve on last season's 8-23 ledger.
Austin talks about both issues in the video above.
As a transfer from Boise State last season, Austin averaged 11.6 points and 4.3 assists. He is the team's top returning scorer after the departure of Justice Sueing, who transferred to Ohio State.
