Thirteen former Cal football players participated in Cal Pro Day on Thursday in front of about 30 pro scouts: Rusty Becker, Kamryn Bennett, Ian Bunting, Chase Forrest, Alex Funches, Jordan Kunaszyk, Patrick Laird, Patrick Mekari, Malik McMorris, Chris Palmer, Alonso Vera, Moe Ways and Vic Wharton III.
Players participated in a number of events, some on the field and some in the weight room and some elsewhere.
Here are some of the highlights:
Running baks Patrick Laird recorded a 4.56-second 40-yard dash, a 6.84-second three-cone drill, 4.15-second 20-yard shuttle, and 11.36 seconds on the 60-yard shuttle. Wide receiver Moe Ways recorded a 4.58-second 40-yard dash, 35-inch vertical jump, 18 reps on bench press (225 pounds)
Defensive end Rusty Becker had a 30-inch vertical jump, 9-foot, 3-inch broad jump.
Offensive lineman Kamryn Bennett did 21 repititions on th bench press (225 pounds).
Tight end Ian Bunting had a 10-foot, 1-inch broad jump
Tight end/fullback Malik McMorris weighed in at 270 pounds. (He was listed on 2018 roster at 290 pounds, 2017 roster at 285 pounds, 2016 roster at 310 pounds, 2015 roster at 300 pounds)
Offensive lineman Patrick Mekari did 23 reps on bench press (225 pounds)
Interior defensive lineman Chris Palmer did 23 reps on bench press (225 pounds)
