Former Cal linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk was not invited to the NFL Combine, which surprised a lot of people, considering he was among the nation's top 10 defensive players in tackles in 2018.
Following Thursday's Pro Day, Kunaszyk admitted he was disappointed by not being invited to the Combine, but later in the video said he was not bothered by the snub. He said he did all he could and was pleased with that.
In any case, he was given a chance to show what he could do on Thursday before about 30 or so NFL scouts at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley under perfect conditions.
Although no Cal player is expected to be taken in this year’s NFL Draft (April 25-27), the one player with the best chance of breaking through those expectations and being drafted in Kunaszyk. He said in the video has no sense of what will happen to him on draft day. If he is not drafted – which is the most likely scenario – he would then try to latch on with a team as a free agent.
