Cal won the PAC Rugby Conference 7s championships for the sixth time in seven years, beating Arizona 33-5 in the final at Witter Rugby Field on Sunday.
Senior Zachary Tavenner scored two tries and was named Man of the Match as the Bears earned an automatic national postseason qualification for the second straight tournament and finished the fall 7s season with a 17-0 record.
Cal began play Sunday with a 36-0 win over Arizona State, led by Henry Poon and Marcus Shankland, who each scored two tries.
The Bears then got past UCLA 17-12 in the semifinals.
"We improved every single game going into final and that set us up for a successful outcome," Tavenner said.
