2019 UGA Football: Mr. Consistency, Senior RB Brian Herrien's Last Run

Brian Herrien has been Mr. Consistency during his time playing football for UGA, today we take a look at what he's done and will do on this last run.

It seems like just the other day, but three years ago we watched Brian Herrien play his first game in the red and black in the Georgia Dome. He took his first career carry in for a touchdown and went on to have 59 yards on only seven carries. Now, here we are in 2019, and Herrien will be suiting up for his final season as a Georgia Bulldog.

Herrien has never been the "featured" running back for the Bulldogs, and he probably won't be in 2019. But, that doesn't mean he can't be one of the most effective players for Georgia this coming season.

Herrien has always remained consistent in his play at Georgia, and you can continuously count on him to make a play when his number is called.

Herrien's maturity and work ethic are what allows him to come alive when the offense can't get anything going. In fact, he tried to get the offense rolling on his own in the Sugar Bowl against Texas. After three horrendous drives to start the game, Herrien would come in on the fourth drive. He got a first down on a crucial 3rd & 1 and then picked up eight yards on his next carry. Later in the drive, he caught a 17-yard pass from Fromm for Georgia's first touchdown of the game.

His game against Texas isn't the only game Herrien has flashed his potential.

@ South Carolina: 7 carries, 45 yards, 1 TD

vs Middle Tennessee: 5 carries, 44 yards

vs Tennessee: 9 carries, 56 yards

vs Auburn: 5 carries, 37 yards

vs UMass: 6 carries, 53 yards, 1 TD

While none of these stat lines are eye-popping, it's easy to tell Herrien makes the most of the carries he's given. The consistency factor along with experience and leadership that he can provide makes Brian Herrien one of the most vital players on the team i
