Spartan Nation was THE FIRST to report back on August 24 that Tom Izzo and Mark Dantonio would be cleared of ANY wrongdoing by the NCAA, per sources at the NCAA. The NCAA confirmed our report last week and you can READ THAT HERE. Now Tom Izzo has issued this statement. The media has an OBLIGATION, to tell the truth. It is a moral obligation, and I hope many of you remember that when choosing what media you will consume, considering MANY wrote, spoke and reported as if MSU, Dantonio, Izzo and Michigan State were guilty until proven innocent.

“Throughout my career, I’ve always placed the utmost priority on winning the right way. As I said in February, when faced with disciplinary issues, I’ve handled those in accordance with all appropriate policies and procedures. After a very thorough review, the NCAA provides confirmation that our program has done that.”
