22 MI OL/DL CJ ALDRED TALKS MICHIGAN STATE SPARTAN FOOTBALL RECRUITING!

CJ Aldred is just about to start his sophomore year of high school at Waterford Mott High School in Waterford Township, MI. and he already has teams like Michigan State and UM watching him! Already 6’3” and 290#, he plays offense and defense. He has a love of football that he expressed throughout his entire interview with Spartan Nation.

CJ is a very driven young man and very much enjoys the game of football. With all of this early interest in him, Spartan Nation asked how he was feeling about football and the recruiting process.

“I honestly love football; I love everything about it. There was no pressure on me. My coach helps take that pressure off, and I appreciate it. Everything is going away from me right now.”

CJ was able to get on campus at MSU for camp. His thoughts on camp, “I liked it. The coaches were very interactive with us. I had a very good time. A lot of the players though, which I thought was pretty cool, they were helping out a lot, and the defensive line coach from Michigan State was helping a lot too.”

He also visited UM recently. “It was pretty cool. We got to go down onto the field and see all of that. It was insane to think that I’m doing it as a freshman.”

It is insane that as a freshman in high school, CJ is already getting the opportunity to see what is in the future. CJ has three more years of school, football seasons, and life to enjoy.

He speaks of his academics and what he wants to do in the future, “Currently I have a 3.76 GPA. I take a lot of advanced classes, so it’s hard. The books I have to deal with are more challenging than most. I do want to be an engineer. I don’t know what type yet, but I do want to go into that field.”

Whenever he speaks of football, it usually starts this way, “I love to go out there under those lights and play. I love the competitiveness.”

Off the field, CJ goes above and beyond to help others. “Years before I was in NJHS and stuff that would help the community. This year I am taking PPI, it is to help with kids that are having disagreements with each other, so they sit them down with me, and I help them overcome their problems.”

CJ Aldred is a young man to keep an eye on. His love for football and family shows in everything he does. The young man speaks football, but you can see this is how he approaches life.

“I’ll play wherever the team needs me, but I do prefer defense a lot. The offense you have to take the hit and go off of there, but the defense you can deliver the hit, get past the guy, you can hit the quarterback or run back even harder.”
