With Connor Cook now playing with the silver and black in Oakland, the Spartans have five QB's playing in the NFL. Of course Cook, Kirk Cousins is the starter in Washington D.C. for the Redskins and Nick Foles is the backup for Los Angeles. But don't forget two key names. Drew Stanton is the backup in Arizonaand Brian Hoyer the backup in Chicago.
Having five QBs on NFL rosters is a big deal. It is even bigger when one is an elite starter like Cousins and now Hoyer and Stanton have got some big time respect. Recently a ranking of all 32 NFL team's key 2nd string backup was released at QB and Hoyer was ranked the third best in the league and Stanton is the second best. Both garnering high praise not just for their skill level, but more importantly their on field production.
