Texas Tech had six players score their first college touchdowns in the Red Raiders’ 77-0 rout of Lamar on Saturday. Here’s the recap of the plays in order of the players most-to-least likely to score again this week versus Houston.
One -- Junior WR Antoine Wesley caught an out pass behind a diving Lamar defender, then turned and darted 66 yards for a touchdown.
Two -- Freshman RB Ta’Zhawn Henry ran 2 yards for a TD midway through the second quarter.
Three -- Sophomore QB Jett Duffey scooted 11 yards for a TD midway through the third quarter.
Four -- Freshman RB Sarodorick Thompson ran 8 yards for a score early in the second quarter.
Five -- Freshman CB Adrian Frye returned an INT 48 yards for a score.
Six -- Freshman WR Erik Ezukanma caught a 44-yard TD pass from quarterback Colt Garrett. Garrett’s career numbers are now 1-for-1 passing with a 44-yard TD.
