A Jersey Guy's Picks: Week 6

Another good week with a solid 5-1 record, which boosts us to 18-12 for the season and we will take that to the bank every time.

The Locksmith tumbled a bit with an 0-2 week, but is ready for a bounce back weekend.

So let's see what we can come up with this week.

The Picks

A Jersey Guy

TEXAS A&M getting 26 vs. Alabama--The Aggies have crashed and burned in the second half of the season the past few years. Why should this be any different against an Alabama team that is totally focused? Well, it won't, but getting 26 at home is too much of a temptation.

Alabama 41, Texas A&M 17

UTAH getting 6.5 vs. Stanford--Good team getting points at home against a Stanford team which I'm not sure is all that good. We will see.

Utah 28, Stanford 24

Wake Forest getting 21.5 vs. CLEMSON--This has to be a let down game for Clemson and Wake Forest is pretty good. Right. Getting that many points again is a big tease. I will take a chance.

Clemson 31, Wake Forest 14

Georgia vs. VANDERBILT O/U: 41.5 Over

Texas Tech vs. KANSAS O/U: 80: Under

LSU vs. FLORIDA O/U: 46.5: Over

Record Last Week: 5-1

Season To Date: 18-12

The Locksmith

West Virginia over TCU, taking 13 1/2

Did the week off help or hurt TCU, which was rolling with momentum after manhandling Oklahoma State? Horned Frogs have a dangerous weapon in RB Darius Anderson, who has to be chomping at the bit after seeing Kansas' Khalil Herbert rush for 291 yards against WVU's defense. But the Mountaineers are capable of keeping pace with explosive TCU with an offense that is No. 2 nationally at 594.8 yards per play and has been getting solid play from QB Will Grier. WVU can run effectively with Justin Crawford to shorten the game and stay close.

Season to date: 2-2-1

Two things at play here: The Bulldogs have not forgotten last year's stinging defeat to Vandy and they're also trying to keep pace with Alabama, which has already steamrolled the Commodores in a 59-0 rout. Georgia's offense is good enough to top this number by itself -- and Vandy's accommodating defense (97 points and 1,144 yards allowed the past two games) could help make that possible, Bulldogs have combined for 71 points the past two games against Mississippi State and Tennessee, defenses that are better than Vandy's.

Season to date: 2-3
