Bracketology 101: First Lesson

College football season is finally over. March Madness is weeks away, but let's take a peek at what is brewing.

It seemed like it was only yesterday when Villanova and coach Jay Wright were celebrating their national championship with a 79-62 victory over Michigan.

Actually, it seems like nine years instead of nine months, but now that college football has put away its toys, it's time to take a look at what is on the college basketball menu.

Officially, CBB starts way too earlyl--in November--for us and the regular season has become a blur of meaningless and endless games each night--until March Madness and tournament time arrives.

Then it gets interesting. With that in mind, here's the first chapter in Bracketology 2019 (far too early for actual brackets and seeds). But we will give you our guess of the 68 team field each week and then increase the information flow as the regular season winds down.

Chapter 1
