Mark Blaudschun grew up in New Jersey, went to the University of Miami and started his career in New Jersey before heading west to the Dallas Morning News. In the late 80s, he joined the Boston Globe, where he covered college football and basketball, the Patriots (before they were Super Bowl contenders), the Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins. When you cut through his 30+ years covering everything from Super Bowls and World Series to Final Fours and BCS title games and even a few Olympics, he remains a Jersey Guy at heart…and soul. As a past President of the FWAA and a 2012 recipient of its “Co-Beat Writer of the Year” award, this guy knows college sports, too. Both cynical and enthusiastic, he gets to the heart of the matter quickly. So, if you want a Jersey guy’s insight or opinion–you’ll find it here, even if you don’t like it or agree with it. And, if you need a new coach and want some leg work done at reasonable rates, you know where to reach him.
