Video: A sample of UW's Sample

Tight end shrugs off national title elimination

Drew Sample is the latest in a long line of NFL-made tight ends for Washington. If the pros liked Will Dissly, they'll be totally enamored with Sample, every much a receiver as much as a blocker. Here the senior touches on rebounding from the Oregon loss, playing with Jake Browning and no longer being a national title contender. Check it out.

While Sample and his teammates prepare for Colorado, they'll have to do it without inside linebacker Amandre Williams. He announced today that he was leaving the team, which seems odd since it's past the halfway mark of the season and the Huskies have little depth at his position. Yet he may have come to the realization he simply can't play at this level. The opportunity was there.
